Jacksonville Pagan Pride Day 2008 is TOMORROW! It will be held in Riverside Park in 5 Points on September 20, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please join us for a day of ritual, workshops, entertainment and shopping!
"Admission price" is a donation of non-perishable food items for our Harvest Food Drive to benefit the Arlington Community Center.
At the end of the event, the community is invited to join in the open Harvest Ritual.
Workshops for all ages will be held at designated locations throughout the park. A map and schedule will be in the program. Look for the main gate to get a program and drop off your donations. We will have a children's area with workshops throughout the day.
We will have a door prize drawing for the many wonderful items that our vendors donate. You will receive one door prize ticket per donated item. Another way to obtain door prize tickets is to volunteer! All volunteers will get door prize tickets based on the time they offer. Teenagers - this is a valid community service hours opportunity. Also, check our website for membership information - membership gives you door prize tickets and priority seating at workshops and concerts.
We still have room for vendors and are always looking for new workshops to offer. Please contact us if you would like a volunteer sign up form or a vendor application.
While we will not have food vendors this year, we are located in the heart of 5 Points which is full of wonderful and affordable places to eat. Or just pack up a picnic basket from home with your own favorites! Please bring your lunch to the park, along with a blanket and picnic with us!
PLEASE READ - Please use the following areas when parking to attend Pagan Pride Day:
* Curbside parking at Riverside Park on Park and Post streets. Be aware of where the parking areas start and end.
* The parking lot at Riverside Park at the utilities building at College and Margaret.
* Oak Street from Park to Margaret has curbside parking on both sides of the street. Notice any time restrictions or no parking areas. DO NOT park in residential areas of Riverside!

UPDATE
Bring the whole family to Jax Pagan Pride Day in Riverside Park! We have activities all day long!
Here is a schedule of what we will offer the young ones:
TIME - ACTIVITY
11:00 a.m. - Making Mabon Crowns
12:00 p.m. - Apple Prints
1:00 p.m. - Harvest Necklaces
2:00 p.m. - Harvest Art (art with beans)
3:00 p.m. - Making Wooden Spoon Wands
4:00 p.m. - Corn Dollies
There is NO cost for any activity. The Children's Workshop area is near the playground, under the shade trees. Bring the kids for a class and join in for a FUN Harvest craft. Susie will be in charge of this area. Please check in with her before leaving your child.
Children that can work on their own may be dropped off for one activity time. Parents must check in at the end of each scheduled workshop. Children that need assistance are welcome to attend with their parents for any activity. We just want everyone to have a good time and learn a fun craft for the Sabbat! If your child wants to stay, they are welcome to! We just need parents to check in so we know where they are in case of emergency and the children aren't left alone too long. We appreciate your help in this matter.
For any questions or to volunteer to help in the Children's Area, please email eaz999@bellsouth.net or call 904-307-5889 and ask for Zee.
Only 3 more days until Pagan Pride Day!
One of the most fun events at Pagan Pride Day is the BIG door prize drawing!! Our vendors all donate an item as a door prize and tickets are drawn for the winner.
This year, instead of one BIG drawing, we will be drawing for prizes every hour! This will allow those of you that win gift certificates or a service to use your gift right away!
How can YOU get some tickets? Easy!
* You will receive one ticket for every food item you donate. (Multi-pack items count as 1 item)
* If you volunteer for a 2 hour shift, you will receive a pack of tickets as a Thank You. The Volunteer Schedule is below. Choose a shift(s) and email us at eaz999@bellsouth.net to let us know! We'll have your tickets ready.
* You can purchase extra tickets at the Welcome Booth throughout the day. Each ticket is $1. Or, get 6 for $5 or 15 for $10!!! What a deal!
