Children's Area
This year, there is a change to the Children's Area! This area was designed to offer two-hour activities to children so parents would have a few hours free to shop and attend classes while their children were safe. However, many parents are in need of a "child care" option. In the past, we have used the playground as a "babysitting" option with volunteer teens supervising the children for a donation of $2 per hour. It was an option rarely used by parents.
So, this year, it is necessary to implement new changes in the Children's Area regarding "child care." All parents are welcome to sign their children into the Children's Area for a 2-hour activities session. If parents need more time than that, there will be a fee of $5 per hour, per child paid directly to the area Chair.
Also, if your children are in the Children's Area during lunch time, please be prepared to leave lunch money for them so Robin, our Children's Area Chair, can buy lunch for your kids.
She is planning on attending ritual this year, so if your kids are there at that time, they will be attending ritual with her. (Ritual begins at 4pm)
We know this is a big change. Please visit the FAQ page for more information on why this change is necessary. (We do hope to have a better, no cost option for the future!)
**PLEASE NOTE
Parents that would like to exchange free child care hours may do so by volunteering for a 2-hour shift in the Children's Area. Please check in at the Welcome Booth if you are interested.
